Colour, Wildflowers & Mismatched Sliders – A Clitheroe Wedding Full of Soul
If you’re searching for a wedding photographer in Lancashire, especially around Clitheroe, Preston, or the Ribble Valley, I’ve got a real treat for you. This wasn’t your average wedding — no stiff suits or beige chair covers in sight. Just love, colour, wildflowers, and two absolute legends doing it their way.
Let me introduce you to Poppy & Dan two free spirits who tied the knot at Clitheroe Registry Office on a sunny Friday morning. You’ll find the office in the Clock Tower, perched above the town library. Yep, an actual library wedding. How’s that for quirky charm?
Poppy’s Handmade Dress & Those Iconic Sliders
Let’s start with the dress. It wasn’t off the rack — it was handmade by Poppy’s mum. Let that sink in for a sec. A full-on ethereal, fairy-tale dress stitched with love and personality. Layers of colour, floaty magic, and total enchantment.
And the shoes? Oh, just sliders in two different colours. One of each. Because when you’re living your best life, your feet should get to do the same.
Dan’s Floral Skirt Game Was Strong
Dan, the groom, ditched tradition and looked amazing doing it. He wore a blue patterned shirt and a floral skirt bold, beautiful, and 100% him. Honestly? He owned it. As a wedding photographer who loves capturing non-traditional weddings in Lancashire, this was the kind of vibe that makes my creative heart do a happy dance.
Wildflowers, Dandelions & Big Nature Energy
These two are big nature lovers, so of course their bouquet was full of wildflowers and dandelions. It felt like they'd picked it straight from a meadow on the way in. That wild, natural, slightly chaotic look? Perfection. Give me messy over manicured any day.
The Ceremony Pure Sunshine & Good Vibes
Their legal ceremony was short and sweet, surrounded by their favourite people. There was sunshine, smiles, and so much warmth in the room (emotionally and temperature wise Clitheroe was boiling).
As a Clitheroe wedding photographer, I love small ceremonies like this. They're laid-back, personal, and you actually get to soak in the moment no fluff, no stress, just love.
From Clock Tower to Forest Floor
And the best bit? This was just day one. On Saturday, they followed it up with a forest ceremony in Bowland Forest. Think trees, rituals, bare feet, and a whole lot of soul. Forest weddings are my jam, and this one was pure magic.
