Harry & Becky’s Autumn Wedding Reception at Worden Hall, Leyland
Some weddings just have that special something, and Harry and Becky’s evening reception at Worden Hall in Leyland had it all—love, laughter, a sparkler exit, and even a nod to trees (more on that later!). Their celebration was filled with warm autumn tones, heartfelt moments, and an amazing group of family and friends who knew how to party. The star of the show was the couples adorable three year old son Freddy who has the most gorgeous blonde curls and rocked his wedding suit, although he wasn't that keen on having photographs taken and kept wagging his finger no at me.
A Love Story That’s Straight Out of a Rom-Com
Harry and Becky’s story started at Wellfield High School in Leyland, where they went from classmates to childhood sweethearts. Fast forward a few years, and they’re still each other’s favourite person. During the reception, their former high school teacher gave a surprise speech that had everyone both laughing and tearing up, sharing sweet stories about their early days and Harry's usual hang out smoking behind the bike shelter. Talk about a full-circle moment!
Eloping to Gretna Green—Because Why Not?
Before their big celebration, Harry and Becky decided to elope to Gretna Green. If you’re not familiar, Gretna Green is basically the OG elopement hotspot. Back in the 1700s, it became famous as the place where young couples could marry “over the anvil” without needing parental approval. It’s romantic, rebellious, and so very them. Plus, the history gave their intimate ceremony an extra layer of meaning.
Autumn Vibes at Worden Hall
When it came time to party, Harry and Becky brought everyone together at Worden Hall in Leyland. The venue, nestled in the gorgeous Worden Park, was decked out in dreamy autumnal tones of browns, creams, and oranges—a perfect match for the season and the couple’s warm personalities. The whole place felt cosy, inviting, and downright stunning. They had a caricaturist drawing images of guests and it went down a storm.
And can we talk about the food? They served pie and peas—a true Northern classic that hit the spot for everyone. Plus a wicked dessert table with so many cookies, cakes and doughnuts. Honestly, it’s hard to go wrong with comfort food, especially when it’s as good as this.
The Tree Surgeon’s Special Shot
Now, here’s where things get extra cool. Harry’s a tree surgeon, so naturally, we had to incorporate his love of trees into the photos. We snuck off to the formal gardens near the maze at Worden Park. Underneath Harry’s favourite tree, we set up an epic off-camera flash shot that gave the whole scene a magical, almost fairy-tale vibe. It was one of those moments where everything came together perfectly—the autumn colours, the light, and, of course, Harry and Becky’s connection.
A Sparkling Ending
No party is complete without a little flair, and Harry and Becky’s sparkler exit didn’t disappoint. Surrounded by their loved ones waving sparklers, they walked through a tunnel of light that was just as fun to shoot as it was for them to experience. It was the perfect way to cap off an unforgettable night.
